Crime Analysis TrainingTraining is a fundamental priority of the IACA. We offer three different types of training courses: in-person, online and webinars. All IACA classes award Continuing Education credits for those students who attend/pass and you can request a PDF certificate. We will not confirm CEUs for in-person or online classes until we have received payment. You can read more about CEUs here. Each class has information regarding the difficulty level/intended audience. These are guidelines only to ensure you have the best experience but are not rigid requirements. We will not be checking your experience level prior to enrollment. These classes are $445 for members and $520 for non-members. We provide in-person training as requested by local agencies/regional associations. If you’d like to bring a particular class to your area, please review the hosting requirements. All 12-week classes are structured the same and cost $445 for members and $520 for non-members. Students should expect a time commitment of 3-5 hours per week, per class to gain a pass grade. All courses will be graded as a pass/fail. They are not self-paced; each class will advance as a group. Students can login anytime to work as needed. We will use a variety of ways to allow for student participation and interaction. Webinars are 1-2 hr long sessions, usually held once a month, via Zoom, that can either be stand-alone topics or a series of topics that connect from one to the next. The sessions can be taken independently, but for a webinar series, the material builds on itself as the year goes on so we encourage people to take the whole series. Each webinar costs $15 for IACA members, $30 for non-members. If a session is free, it will be noted in the description. Some (but not all) webinars are recorded and can be viewed by IACA members after 45 days have passed from the original air date.
If you have developed a training curriculum and are interested in developing that material into an IACA class, please contact the Training Director at [email protected]. If you have questions about training, please view our Training Series FAQs or Webinar FAQs pages. Download the IACA Form W9.
