Awards, Contests & Scholarships

Analytical Product Contest

Members have the opportunity to submit analytical products for the annual contest. Awards will be presented at the IACA Annual Training Conference. Click here to see examples of products.

Bryan Hill Memorial Scholarship Award

The Bryan Hill Memorial Scholarship Award was created to recognize an individual who embodies the same “Spirit of Service” for which Bryan was well known. Individuals nominated for this award MUST be a current IACA member. This is a great way to recognize a member who has contributed to the professional success of another, or many, by sharing knowledge, examples, and/or time freely and selflessly.

Membership Award

The Membership Award was created to honor ANY individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the field of crime and/or intelligence analysis in their unit, agency or community; or exceptional contributions to the IACA in particular. Nominees may be from national, federal, state or local criminal justice agencies; may be legislators, members of academia or members of the private sector. Individuals nominated for this award DO NOT have to be IACA members and DO NOT have to be an analyst.

Steve Gottlieb Award

This award will be presented to an individual or team that has developed, implemented, and had success with a new method, process, technique, or tool for crime analysis.

Limited Scholarship Award

To assist IACA members who have never attended an IACA annual training conference, the Awards & Recognition Committee has created a conference scholarship that will be awarded to one member from the United States and one non-US member.

Unlimited Scholarship Award

To assist IACA members who lack funding for training, the IACA Board and the Awards and Recognition Committee has created a conference scholarship that will be awarded to one member at random.
