IACA Training Programs
The International Association of Crime Analysts offers multiple training formats—structured online courses, in-person training, and webinars. Programs are designed for working analysts, supervisors, and students, with recommended difficulty levels to help you choose the best fit.
Note: The roadmap currently focuses on our 12-week online classes. Expanded guidance for webinars and in-person training is in development.
Training Formats
12-Week Online Classes
Structured, asynchronous courses delivered over 12 weeks with weekly assignments and instructor feedback. Students should plan on approximately 3–5 hours per week. Courses are graded pass/fail and progress week-by-week.
In-Person Training
Live, instructor-led training hosted periodically based on instructor availability, host partnerships, and demand. In-person courses emphasize hands-on learning and applied exercises.
Webinars
Live webinars are typically 1–2 hours and may be standalone topics or part of a connected series. Some sessions are recorded and made available to members after a delay.
