Dr. Charles M. Russo is an intelligence analyst, educator, author, and keynote speaker whose work sits at the intersection of crime analysis, critical thinking, and decision support. Across their career, Dr. Russo has focused on strengthening analytic tradecraft—helping analysts and leaders ask better questions, test assumptions, and turn complex information into clear, actionable insight. A committed member of the IACA, Dr. Russo has served on the Training committee since 2014 and now serves on the IACA Executive Board as Secretary, supporting transparent governance through accurate records, reliable communication, and strong administrative stewardship. In addition to service with IACA, Dr. Russo teaches and develops training on intelligence analysis, critical thinking, metacognition, and public safety problem-solving, bringing a disciplined, practical philosophy to the realities analysts face every day.

Treasurer
Kristen Lottman began her journey in crime analysis over 20 years ago when she was placed as a college intern in a law enforcement crime analysis unit. She became a full-time crime analyst a few years later and has loved her job ever since. She has worked as an analyst in several areas of the police department, including administrative/process improvement, patrol operations, Real Time Crime Center and criminal investigations. Kristen has been a long-time member of the IACA and served terms in different roles for her statewide crime analysis association just prior to joining the IACA Executive Board. Kristen served as IACA Secretary from 2020-2024 before transitioning into the role of IACA Treasurer in 2025. Kristen has a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and a master’s degree in Leadership, and currently teaches crime analysis classes in a master's program at a university.
