Executive BoardPresidentMary Bertuccelli is the Crime Analysis Unit Supervisor for the Scottsdale Police Department in Scottsdale, AZ. She started her career in law enforcement in 1997 working for the Washington/Baltimore HIDTA in Greenbelt, MD and then was assigned to the Baltimore Police Department as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst. She has been with the Scottsdale Police Department since 2001. Mary holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Arizona and has taught both Crime Analysis & Police Function courses at Arizona State University as well as being invited in 2009 to instruct the Brazilian Military Police in the Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis. Mary is the current president of the International Association of Crime Analysts. She served on the conference committee for nine years and has been a member of the IACA since 2002. She’s also an active member and past president of the Arizona Association of Crime Analysts (AACA) and is a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Analysts (IALEIA). She is passionate about working cold cases and is currently on the FBI’s National Advisory Board for the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses and hiking with her dogs. Vice-President of AdministrationAnnie Mitchell is a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and is currently a Supervising Crime Analyst. She has been a crime analyst for 30 of her 42 years of service with her department, also holding the title of Sheriff’s Dispatcher during her tenure. Annie is the crime analysis training coordinator for the Sheriff’s Analysis Unit, providing foundational training for new hires and continued professional development for the 70 analysts employed within the Criminal Intelligence Bureau. She is a California Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (POST) advanced instructor, providing crime analysis training for investigators and analysts throughout the state. Annie developed the 40-hour curriculum and teaches in the first POST certified Crime Analysis training offered in California. Annie is currently the Southern California Crime and Intelligence Analysts (SCCIAA) president and longstanding member of the IACA. Vice-President of MembershipRachel Carson is a passionate career analyst and Director of two specialist training companies in the UK, Futurum Consulting and Training Ltd and Inspired Acts Ltd. Rachel delivers training to foreign government agencies and businesses to help build their capabilities in multiple areas of intelligence and analysis including OSINT, i2 Analyst’s Notebook and operational analysis. Before her training career developed, Rachel spent three years as Principal Analyst for the British Transport Police and eight years as the Head of Intelligence and Analysis for Transport for London. It was during her time at Transport for London, that she became an IACA member and in 2016 became Chair of the International Outreach Committee. SecretaryKristen Lottman began her journey in crime analysis over 20 years ago when she was placed as a college intern in the Mesa Police Department’s Crime Analysis Unit. She became a full-time crime analyst a few years later and has loved her job ever since. She has worked as an analyst in several areas of the police department, including administrative/process improvement, patrol operations, Real Time Crime Center and criminal investigations. Kristen has been a long-time member of the IACA and completed a two-year term on the executive board for her statewide crime analysis association just prior to taking over the secretary role for IACA in 2020. Kristen has a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and a master’s degree in Leadership, both from Grand Canyon University. TreasurerPrior to becoming a Crime & Intelligence Analyst, Rhonda Maher served for 18 years in Accounts Payable and Receivable. Some of the corporations Rhonda worked include the following; International Multifoods Corporation, Grace Corporation, and Panasonic Corporation. Rhonda transitioned to government work by taking the position as the accounts payable and receivable person and was in charge of the entire City and County Library system for the City of Riverside. Rhonda finished her career in accounting from a position in the City of Riverside Treasury/Utilities Department before leaving and becoming a Crime & Intelligence Analyst with Riverside City Police Department in 1995. Rhonda earned her bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach and has been a Crime and Intelligence Analyst for 27 years. Rhonda completed her Crime & Intelligence Certification from the University of California, Riverside in July 1997 and in 2005 received Certification in Geographic Profiling. Rhonda joined San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 2000 as a Crime & Intelligence Analyst and is currently assigned to the Intelligence Division. Rhonda took part in the creation of the Inland Empire Crime & Intelligence Analyst Association in 1997. Rhonda has served on the IECIAA board in all positions and while President of IECIAA she also served a dual role as California President. Rhonda has been a member in good standing of IACA since 2003, she has served as the conference registrar and currently holds the board position as IACA Treasurer. |
